Deadline for submission of extended abstracts

Submitting your work and research actively contribute to the success of the Congress. The organisers encourage students and scientists, along the line with the Congress theme and topics, to share their latest data with their peers. There will be an online submission process for short abstracts (up to 300 words) at first. Later all authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit an extended abstract that will be published in the Congress abstract book and on the website of the International Peatland Society.

  1. Your abstract has to be written in correct English with the title up to 20 words and abstract body up to 300 words.
  2. Browse through the session topics and select the topic of your interest. By selecting the most relevant sub-topic for your abstract, you increase the likelihood of your preferred allocation and highest possible impact during the congress. If you have doubts about choosing the right subtopic for your abstract submission, you may select the “Other topics” and let the Scientific Committee decide the best allocation for it.
  3. Please keep in mind that submission of the same abstract to more than one session/subtopic is not allowed. Duplicates will be rejected.
  4. Fill in the submittal information about contact, title, author(s), and affiliation(s) of author(s).
  5. Select your preference for poster presentation or for oral presentation. However, please be aware that there is no guarantee that an oral preference can be realized due to the limited timeframe.
  6. Accept the terms and conditions written down on the page of the abstract submission form.
  7. In case of a successful submission, a confirmation message including your abstract ID number will be displayed and you will receive an abstract submission confirmation email.
  8. Please save this information, as the following notifications during the evaluation process will be based to the abstract ID number(s).
  9. If the conversion of your abstract fails, please specify your problems and we will then take care of them.
  10. Please double-check the grammar and the names and affiliations of the authors as after abstract approval, the content will be published as submitted.
  11. Submit your abstract. You will receive a confirmation email providing your abstract number. Should you not receive the abstract submission confirmation email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder first and then contact the Delegate Services at:
